The Agriculture Program is designed to prepare students for the application of skills in areas such as animal and crop science, and agriculture mechanics for the agricultural industry. These Agriculture programs give students the flexibility to expand on the core areas of study by choosing courses related to their individual interests in agriculture management. Many of the programs are designed for students to complete the lower-division (freshman and sophomore) portion of a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. The Associate of Science degrees include Guaranteed Transfer Courses and the lower-division agriculture core courses recommended by the Colorado Department of Higher Education.

LINE TECHNICIAN:
Colorado Springs Campus
The Line Technician Program at Trinidad State (Rocky Mountain Line Technician - RMLT) is designed to prepare students to build, repair, and maintain electrical distribution systems for private and public utility companies, and related employers. Instruction in this program includes safety and overall electrical system operations, including electrical distribution, basic electrical theory, overhead and underground operations and maintenance.

UNMANNED AVIATION SYSTEMS (UAS):
Valley Campus
Unmanned Aviation Systems (UAS) is an important emerging technology with an expanding range of applications. Drones are being used regularly in energy, agriculture, transportation, emergency services, natural resources, photography, mapping, recreation, and the list is growing. Drones will share airspace with manned aviation and the need for safe pilots is a priority. The TSJC UAS program focuses on training an upcoming and needed workforce to become safe and proficient pilots. A first step is to earn your FAA small UAS pilots certificate followed by additional certifications and a variety of flight experiences to bolster to your marketability in this profession.
